The COM5003 is a ZERA high-precision measurement device.
It adheres to the consistent design style of ZERA equipment and can be adapted to the current requirements of the latest applications.
Due to its high accuracy and stability, it is suitable for use in metrology institutes, laboratories of power supply companies and energy meter manufacturers.
It is capable of measuring national and international energy standards.
- High accuracy independent of measurement mode.
- Perfect long-term stability.
- Application of AC-coupled current sensors.
- PTB (German National Institute of Weights and Measures) approved for a two-year inspection period.
- Convenient control via 9.0”color LCD and panel pushbuttons.
Manual Operation:
The COM5003 Comparator can be operated manually by applying the 9.0” color LCD display and control buttons on the front panel.
The following functions can be performed:
Actual Value Display The COM5003 displays the current measurement data in the actual value menu.
The measured values are permanently updated.
The parameters of the three-phase power supply system are displayed as integrating time-adjustable average values.
Vector display The measured values for current, voltage and phase angle can be displayed as a graph according to IEC 387 or DIN 410.
Curve display The measured values of voltage and current can be displayed in different ways. The user can choose between displaying as curves and indicating individual values, harmonic display and individual distortion values.
Harmonic measurement Harmonic measurement allows the measurement of harmonics in voltage and current circuits up to 40 harmonics.
The measured harmonics can be displayed as a table or bar graph.
Power Measurement Power measurement allows measurement of active,
reactive and apparent power per phase in measurement mode, as well as in 2-, 3- or 4-wire measurement mode.
Error Measurement Static and electro-mechanical power meters,
as well as various measuring instruments with power proportional frequency outputs can be tested in the Error Measurement menu.
The user can select between scanning head input or frequency input. The result is displayed in % with up to 5 decimal digits.
Reference Measurement The Reference Voltage Measurement compares an external DC voltage standard with an internal reference.
For this purpose, the external standard is connected to the COM5003 via two separate inputs.
Power Measurement in the AC Energy Direction CED Power Measurement determines the active power in the AC energy direction.CED denotes Change Energy Direction.
The total power measurement as well as the positive and negative active power components are displayed using a predefined period interval (5 - 5000) and time interval (1 - 100 s).
The actual values are displayed:
The following parameters are displayed in various forms (summary view, meter view, vector diagram, etc.) as average values over a customizable integration time.
- RMS values of the currents and voltages of each phase and their DC components.
- The phase angle between all voltages and currents.
- The active, reactive and apparent power of each phase and the whole, and their power factors.
- Phase sequence direction and frequency.
